In 2003 I set about compiling a 20 year history of the Hamilton Cup. With assistance from Chris Maynard, Billy Danford and others, the result was over 35 pages of images and text covering the beginnings of outrigger canoe paddlings introduction into Australia in 1978 up to the first ever Hamilton Island race, billed 'The Queensland Outrigger Titles' in which Walter Guild and Hank Lass attended.
